Working in a digital medium has never seemed unnatural to me. Although I've done artwork since early childhood, the act of painting on a surface was always somewhat limiting. I like working with phosphors and electron beams, the immediacy of this process more closely approximates the speed of thought itself. One's internal image can be more quickly viewed in a way that a painted surface never provided.

I consider my primary subject matter to be nature and pay repeated homage to it in the landscapes, plants, animals, humans and other beings populating my work. Allowing my pieces to compose themselvs in a kind of organic unfoldment, I often start with a single object and complete it before moving on to surrounding areas. Drawn to unusual imagery, dreams fascinate me and are a frequent source of ideas.
